Humma graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2015, with a BA Honours Architecture degree. Soon after which she moved to London to join Marks Barfield Architects as an architectural assistant where she was involved in a multitude of sustainable commercial projects, gaining experience in learning to interpret, challenge and present these in unison with the overall development strategies.

 

In 2016, she returned back to her hometown to complete her RIBA part 2 studies at the University of Nottingham. On the completion of which she joined Blackstone Architects in London, where very soon she working as the lead architect on a variety of progressive, contextually relevant projects throughout the United Kingdom and across Europe.

She has a particular interest in creating buildings where different users need to be brought together t create multifunctional buildings that become part of the success of community. She is experienced in public consultation and presenting to key stakeholders, user groups, liaising with planners, English heritage and other interested bodies.

 

In 2021, Humma and her colleagues from NTU established HJ2K Design Lab, where she became a founding member amongst the Board of Directors as a marketing manager after the success of her previous work. Since then HJ2K have built a strong reputation and client base around the Midlands centred around expressive commercial designs, creative contemporary architecture with responsive and innovative internal spaces that provide a positive user experience based around sustainable development and detailed construction.
